A Coded Ode to Cyrus Kabiru

I am obsessed with the work of fabricator, eyewear designer and afrofuturistic artist Cyrus Kabiru. He uses found objects to create these incredible wearables that look as though they are straight out of a science fiction novel.

For a while, I’ve been toying with the idea of recreating (and animating!) his work in code. I used this assignment as a proof of concept.

I found this assignment challenging because most of the ideas that I wanted to execute were much more achievable with an array. I’m looking forward to diving into that in the coming weeks.
